MaineHealth
Maine Medical Center Malone Family Tower
Aero recently completed a 300,000 sqft expansion at Maine Medical Center. The project included the addition of 96 private patient rooms, 40 pre/post operation beds, 19 operating rooms, and a sterile processing department. Prior to the Malone Family Tower, Aero was involved in construction of MaineHealth’s Scarborough main office building in 2021.
Rock Row Development
New England Cancer Specialists
New England Cancer Specialists (NECS), the region’s largest medical oncology group, will be the primary tenant in Medical & Research Campus at Rock Row. Aero is constructing the core & shell and NECS tenant fit out.
University of New England
Harold and Bibby Alfond Center
Aero is finishing our work at UNE’s Harold and Bibby Alfond Center which will house UNE’s College of Osteopathic Medicine beginning in 2025 when the college moves from Biddeford to the main campus in Portland.

Barry Mills Hall and Center for Artic Studies
Underground “Blue Duct“ installation shown in progress at the Barry Mills Hall and Center for Artic Studies at Bowdoin College. This specialty product is pre-engineered for below grade installation and provides supply and return air through floor grilles in the new auditorium.

Aero completed a renovation of the 300 Fore Street building to serve as the new home of the University of Maine School of Law.
Northeastern University
The Roux Institute
Aero completed the fit out for the Roux Institute’s existing leased space in the Wex building and we are engaged in the Design Assist process for construction of the proposed campus at the former B&M Baked Beans site.
Bates College
Bonney Science Center
Newly installed variable air volume dampers with welded stainless steel ductwork regulate the airflow and temperature in critical areas of the newly opened Bonney Science Center at Bates College.
Sun Life
Corporate Headquarters
Aero team members fabricating 62” spiral for shop assembled double-wall insulated ductwork in our state-of-the-art facility in Westbrook, ME. This ductwork is installed at the Sun Life office in the Commercial Street Foreside development.
Idexx Laboratories
Headquarters Expansion & Horizon Center
Aero has played a key player in Idexx Laboratories’ two most recent expansions. The first was the addition to their Westbrook Global Headquarters in 2019 and the second was the Horizon Center for developing and manufacturing water microbiology tests, completed in 2023.
Abbott Laboratories
Aero’s team put in extended hours at Abbott Laboratories’ new facility in Westbrook, Maine in preparation for mass production of Abbott’s over-the-counter COVID Rapid Self Tests.
Amtrak
Brunswick Layover Facility
Aero fabricated and installed the exposed exhaust ductwork at the Brunswick Layover Facility. This project was completed for the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority to allow the Amtrak Downeaster to operate a third daily train from Brunswick to Boston.
United States Govenment
Edward T. Gignoux U.S. Courthouse
Aero installed temporary supply and return duct to allow uninterrupted use of the Federal Courthouse in Portland during a multi-year, phased renovation.

Corporate Headquarters
Aero’s above ceiling craftmanship showcases several branches of fabricated duct transitions, air heating coils, variable air volume dampers, and round spiral ductwork. This installation is located in the remodeled Unum building currently occupied by Berry Dunn.

Research Laboratory
Pictured are mid-construction photos of an 18’x11’x5’ louver plenum, underground pre-engineered and pre-fabricated Blue Duct providing supply air to the new Forum presentation space, Blue Duct carrying supply and return air between a new and existing wing of the research building, and two photos of the new mechanical room containing two new AHUs, along with supply, return, and exhaust air ductwork.
